Hi!

So i went through the steps today to attempt to install the cyanogen mod onto my nexus one. I unlocked the bootloader, installed the RA recovery image and then used the RA recovery image to flash the cyanogen mod. When I booted it up it just stayed at the Nexus One "X" boot splash indeffinately. From what I understand, the cyanogen mod for the nexus one is an upgrade on top of the google installation. I think i might have completely wiped my google rom before installing the cyanogen mod. Is there any way I can get the original image to flash onto the nexus one?

You can get stock images here

How long did you leave it after it started up? First time you start the phone after installing a custom ROM it can take a long time (10/15 minutes).

I don't think there is an option to completely wipe as in remove the ROM completely. Its more likely that because you wiped everything such as Dalvik Cache and data etc, that these were being rebuilt and that's what takes much longer on first boot up when installing.

Try just reflashing the cyanogen mod, and giving it plenty of time - if it still doesn't boot after say 20 mins then reflash the stock rom zip and let it completely boot up just to make sure all is OK. :) It is really hard to completely mess up if you have the hard bit (unlocking bootloader and installing custom recovery) all done.

Turns out I skipped the "wipe" step lol. Went back and did everything from scratch and got it running now. I'm thinking about going back though since I just heard about the google update...
