weather works in both homescreen and tab now..

how do i uninstall this???
i have disabled HTC sense from my today settings...
but when i try to uninstall it comes up with sms patch prompt, i try and hit OK , but the phone has hanged ...so i gotta do a battery out reset... tried 3 times same thing...

You just have to wait.
I was close to making a hardreset, but after half an hour or longer it finally finished uninstalling.
I left the phone on a power source so it does not go to sleep.

You must set your location on home screen:

I did try the 2.5.2012.. Didn't work as it hangs prior to starting up, saying 'Tap here to open HTC Sense'.

Uninstalling currently and trying to get the version in this topic installed.

Baddy, in this case - you better stay with pre-installed Samsung ROM and be happy.
HR will help you if you like to experiment on your O2 otherwise.
Or you prefer to visit Samsung service center?

install as follow after a hard reset
1. OpenGLESv1.cab new 0.26 version
2. sdkcerts.cab
3. AudioManager.cab
4. Install Megapinky Sense 2.5 2011.cab (only 69mb!!)
5. restart
6. Install OemDiamAudioMgr.cab right after boot!!!
7. Copy the AlbumSearcher.exe to windows folder.
8. restart

Does My Location work for you?  If not, have you tried installing the location files on that ftp site to see if they work?

I instaLL DISABLE mY location cab.. anyway you can add your city directly now without crashing your phone.. btw i'm still on original wm 6.1

I'm on rodrigofd's HD2 rom and just noticed yesterday that there's a new Manila Sense version 2.5.2012 around which should work faster, see here but after disabling sense, reboot/applying cab it just keeps hanging on: "Tap here to launch HTC Sense" and doesn't run anymore

Sense 2.5 Change log:

March 11, 2010-Major Update
-Completely rebuilt the cab, it is now 27MB smaller when uncompressed!
-Much faster install and overall feel
-Used all the latest dependancies
-Removed eReader, a stand alone version can be found here: Stand alone eReader
-Removed doc reader, it is included as a cab at the bottom of the post for those that want it
-Added new YouTube app
-Many enhancements and tweaks, while maintaining the stock Sense 2.5 look
-Auto landscape is enabled by default, there is a cab at the end of the post to disable it.

Thanks for the manual. Where are those mentioned .cabs to find?? Are those specific sence 2.5.2011 .cabs???

anyone manage to get sms working with this?  when installed with 6.1 ROM you still have 80 mb of ram.  i love the home screen and sms/email.  anyone?

Ok foudn a work aroudn for the sms tab.  you can view sms but cant send.  so i foudn if you click the all  mesages button on the sms tab it will take you to classic sms(you can send from here)
