Touch Player can show .SMI subtitles without any plugin.

So if I will convert sub or srt file to smi and this file will have same name as movie file, it is ok to run ?

Anyway, great new for me!

Touch player can show .srt directly. Isn't necessary any conversion.

.smi files used to work on my official 6.1 ROM, after flashing to multiple 6.5 ROMs, I noticed that none of them is able to display the subtitles anymore. I can see on the player option with a radio button like indicator that a subtitle was found.

looks like this

o Caption

However, nothing is being displayed. Any ideas?

Btw, I noticed that Touch Player was changed to Media Player.

Thanks!

Hey thanks for this, it's better than no subs at all.  .smi subs weren't working perfectly before either, this saves me the trouble of converting it to .smi too.
