When it comes to software and hardware for phones i dont know much, but the tg02 will be using a capacitive screen with the same size as the tg01, if you could have the tg01 running winmo 6.5.3 from the tg02 would it be possible to have a capacitive screen for the tg01?

dumb question maybe but im just wondering

it is hardware related (search google for the difference between capacitive and resistent tocuh screens), thus replacing the software won't make your resistent touch screen work as an capacitive one.  :D

Its not just the screen that is different as it will have hardware on the motherboard to power and control it. Even if you could remove the screen without damaging the device what are you going to put in its place? As far as I know only the Toshiba TG02 will have a 4.1" capacitive screen, and you you probably won't be able to buy a replacement screen a while after that phone has been released.
