Guest garyfl
hey all, been messing around with my phone lately. i have a pair of sennheiser HD238 precision headphones. the device wasnt quite loud enough and i wanted to push my headphones so i started researching a way to increase the systems max volume and i found a suitable solution :D go to your systems samsung dialler. type in *#0002*28346# it should come up with a menu selection, select music 3p earphone. in output ctrl L1VL2~0 set the number to 110. " " HPG7~0 set the number to 1110 in output power management set L3VL7~6 to 11 in LCh out set OVL7~ to 00011001 do the same with RCh OVR7~0 set that to 00011001 then click apply. if done correctly the max volume increases substantially. sounds beautiful when volume is maxed with HD enabled. if done right you will hear no distortion just very loud music. i suspect if you do this to all the tabs it will have the same effect i.e the music speaker tab. the values do not reset when you soft reset. but reset after a hard reset. hope this helps. Guest garyfl
anyone tried this yet ? :D
Guest wick220
I tried this a while ago after realizing that the output from the Omnia II was much softer compared to regular CD's or radio. I changed the values AS I was listening to the music play on my car stereo - the difference was astounding. I recommend this to ANYONE that uses their Omnia as an MP3 player. Guest achugar
It is true that the volume is increase with this values, but i have to say: - The volume isnt louder enough (for me of course), in my last SE wolkman i had much more louder volume even with much more quality sound. - I had modified values every day (becouse i dont feel that the sound is the good i want) On Music 4p (the handsfree earphones that came with the device): - I realize that when you increase the values on "MAX 9877" 2 AND 3 you can increase the volume without losing quality, but this have a problem. If you put (11111) or (11110) and you listen a louder song, when the device go to sleep the screen turn on by itself after a few seconds. I dont know why this happen (i think it could be becouse of the consumption on the processor) - The samsung music player is terrible for me. It is very very slow (at least when you have all album art on the library) and also you cant have an eq. I also have the sennheiser earphones, so it isnt about the quality on the headphones. Despite all of this, thanks for your recommendation. One last thing: Since i think we all love good sound and use the phone as mp3 player, it could be a good idea to post what players are we using. Im Using Pocket Player it is the only player that provide (since my experience) good sound. Can anyone give another option on players. Thanks a lot
