Hey all. I have tried googling this but since I don't really know what the issue is or if there is even one, obviously I did not get any good results.
For me, whenever I press the screen lock button on the top right, the screen turns off directly without showing the lockscreen. This I suppose means that the device is now in sleep mode and not locked? To wake the device, a short press of the button and a short wait will show the lockscreen. If I long press the button, the device will wake and unlock and go direct to the Today screen.
Now my question is: I heard that if you short press the button, by right the lockscreen will appear and then the display is turned off. Is this suppose to be the case? Or am I missing something here? In any case, it seems a little silly to me that to see my lock screen, I have to go to Start/Lock. Isn't there a button in the Today screen for it?
I am using the i8000, original rom, wm 6.5, windows titianium.
Pls advise. Thanks.
PS: You may not understand what I am asking but it is alright. I am getting more confused as I type anyway.
