Hello there

earlier on I downloaded and installed this Rom.

I must state that it is running well but I find that the Ram available is not as it is shown on your posted Pictures.

My reading is the same as before.

My reading is the same as before.

I know what can make a difference:

* disabled Samsung Dialer Skin (no video calls, I don't care) (~10 MB)

* removed linkmgr.exe from startup (Main Menu - I don't use it anyway)

* captured picture BEFORE windows lock appeared (it takes ~10 MB of RAM and never returns to the previous amount of free RAM!!!)

Try these simple steps and check again :(

So, is there less reserved RAM or not? :(

What about picture quality, i believe in the polish forum they said it was improved slightly? Have you tried that as well?

And have some JB1 bugs been fixed?

Thanks in advance for any answer :(

Camera? It's really hard to say, it seems the colors are colder than in JB1 ("less red")

JB1 bugs - seems to be more responsive, Marketplace works better, but again - it's not night & day difference

This works reall well.

They seem to have changed the scrolling behaviour of the Start menu (I used JA5 before)...

Could you please tell me if the keyboard still pops-up opening the Phonebook?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Pana

You must be referring to some bro claimed JB1 PDa part having this behavior.

The truth is, when you flashed JB1 rom, you need to flash the Eboot, Phone & PDA total 3parts.

I'm having a Singapore English Omnia2, flashing the 3 mentioned parts, the keyboard never pop up in Phonebook, not even once.

I left out the CSC part so I can kept my O2 in original language & input choice.

I believe the keyboard pop-up when opening the phonebook is by design.

The moment the phonebook is opened, we can start to key in the text to search. There is no need to tap the search button first.

I was very suspicious about this JB3 !

I compare EBOOT => exactly same exept name . CSC (only mine XEF) => exatly same exept name ... for Phone, you already know !

When I compare MST, it seams different, so I flash only this MST.

(by compare, I mean binary compare with ULTRA Compare)

What's new form JB1 to JB3 ? Nothing exept, all bugs I found in JB1 are cleared. And MSN/Windows Live come back to the classic one.

Thanks Rdy2Go !

I could agree, but phonebook in JB1 was buggy, frezees with speed dial and the app gave errors, never seen on previous ROMs

Before I decide to flash has anyone had issues with the bluetooth, as pointed out on another thread the MAC code in the attachment is all F's.

No BT issue with me, but adding speeddials the phonebook still crash sometimes, need to re-boot the phone. I guess the best rom so far is still the JA5. Anyway, I'll give it a try to JB3 over the weekend and let you know!

Same issue of JB1 with Samsung Phonebook app. - jf you use to sync the phone with Activesync and you set speed dials, the Phonebook crashes 99% of the times you open the application. If you don't use it with Outlook, seems there are no problems. I'm going back to JA5 again.. <_<
