I have a Samsung Propel Pro i627 from AT&T without the data plan. I refuse to give in and pay AT&T to use MY wireless router at home to connect to the internet (the Data-Block disables WiFi apparently to strong-arm you into coughing up the $360 annually for the unlimited data plan)

I also have found several "offline GPS" apps but none can seem to find the internal receiver.

So far, I have used the MobileJaw-ClearSecurity-MobiControl.cab and MoDaCo.SmartphoneGPSActivator.COM4.CAB. I still cannot get anything to recognize the receiver. I can't seem to figure out how to make WM treat it as Com 4. (For that matter, I can't even figure out how to ADD a Com Port or see the internal GPS receiver).

I have backed up my reg file using CeRegEditor, so *hopefully* I won't lose everything. My important data is stored on the SD card as well.

HELP!!! It's slowly taking over my free time!  <_<

I have a i627 and GARMIN XT detects the internals GPS. Also GPSTest.exe detects internal GPS.
I first installed clearsecurity.cab, then ran SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe, then I downloaded http://download.micr....1c5e/Setup.msi (windows mobile power toys, that allows you to configure security and then installed modaco gps activator.

Now GPStest.exe will find GPS and it is accessible.

However, Garmin still wouldn't find internal gps before device unlock code file (swl.un) for garmin (based on device id / imei) was copied to sd card. (if this is your problem I can help with it also).
