Hi there,

I have a Netgear Readynas Duo which acts as a DLNA server. Is there any apps where I can browse the contents and be able to stream videos I have downloaded?

Thanks.

Have you actually used this cos there's no mention of DLNA on the apps web page???

There's also no mention of any Netgear devices on the 'Media Servers' page.

1. AndroMote supports UPnP and DLNA is a subset of UPnP, therefore AndroMote supports DLNA.

2. Not mentioning it doesn't mean it doesn't work. It merely means that Netgear device hasn't been tested yet.

If your test result indicates it works, email the author to let him know.

Just tested it with mindlna - which is essentially the Netgear dlna server - works!

What I would like to see is an app that can be used to copy music from your dlna server to your SD card to then play on the move. I had all my media on a linkstation and to be able to do that wireless would be brilliant.

I've just found an app called EStrongs File Explorer which has an option to connect to my ReadyNas and browse the contents on either by FTP or WLAN if you look in the top right corner of the app theres a button where you can switch from local files to LAN, FTP or Bluetooth. Using this it means I can even grab files off my nas when I'm out and about don't even have to be at home! Also it will stream the files though the controls are limited when doing that.

I have a Nexus One and a ReadyNAS Duo. Just installed both Andromote and EStrongs. Both seem to work fine, though a few issues with certain filetypes for pictures and videos not working, music OK on both.

I've been using this with my Twonky server, a couple display quirks sometimes, but it seems to be working great so far.
