Hey there,

As topic, I'd like to have the possibility to automatically turn off the bluetooth / wireless module (to save battery) after some idle time has passed. This in real life translates to: I turn of my BT stereo headset and after X minutes the BT shuts down, I close the Windows Live Messenger and after X minutes the wireless goes off... etc, etc. I think you get the idea :)

Anyway, please let me know if there's some way / registry hack / script / app / something to do this.

Thanks in advance.

I think the Omnia II does shut off the WiFi radio when the device is idle already.  Reason I say this is that I notice the little icon showing the "connecting" animation for a few seconds when I bring the phone out of Lock mode.  Perhaps it just puts the radio in a lower power state though (as it does connect quicker than if I had just turned on WiFi).

What it actually does by default is turn off wifi when you lock the device (or autolocks itself), and you have the option to change this behavior from its menu.

But as you see, it's quite different from my need, and also it doesn't disable the radio module, it just disconnects from the current wireless network, so when the device is awaken, it goes and tries to reconnect again.
