Hi,

Ever since i have problem with Omnia heating up espcially when using wifi and playing mp3s.

I have made a temporary fix.

I bought a capdase silicon case (doesnt need to be a capdase, just a case that is firm and can provide space at the back)
I remove the omnia back pannel
I put some padding tapes on the back of omnia
I cut a magazine just to cover the back not to expose the battery.
Done

It seems that the case at the back does not provide better airflow. Removing it and adding space at the back provides better air circulation.

It speed up my omnia by about 50% and removes too much heating by 50% - 80% even when charging.

I made something different
I covered the chip and sim card with thin plastic (to not cause any shortcut ->) then I put aluminium foil everywhere on the back case
With this when I use the gps it causes less overheating

igo amigo stops working when overheating, I think because processor speed slows down... with this it kept working
and where I live the antenna signal is always full and this does not cause any problem

rom the original a lot of heat. but custom rom no temp.

Come to Istanbul. See the beautiful city. Great Marmara Sea, bridges, historical monuments. hot people, hot weather, 100% guaranteed entertainment. Unexplainable happens.
