I got my desire from a virgin media shop on payg. 399.99  and bonus its UNLOCKED STOCK.

1) insert gold card
2) flashed generic eu firmware and boo-yeah

I picked up a Desire yesterday from a T-Mobile store - it took me a bit of phoning around to find a store with stock, but it was SO worth it!

All good so far, just waiting for an unlock code from HTCCode (their usual 15EUR option doesnt work on the Desire - you have to pay 25EUR directly to them and wait a few days).
