Hello everybody,

I decided to cook a ROM for our Liquid 2.1 éclair ROMs, based on the latest leak, with tweaks, audio enhancements, huge speedups, bits from Cyanogen's ROMs/Kernel, custom modules, binaries, custom kernel, etc.

Xian LiquidE v1 (for 1.100.05 .bin and later, 1.100.39 recommended for Radio) ROM

Changelog :

- update IDLE settings in kernel for more battery savings

- undervolted kernel some more (to 850mV)

- added support for "bootable" USB drive mode

- new boot logo (thanks simoneser!)

- V8 Browser engine with full GIF support (thanks xaueious and Auxx!)

- gps settings tweaked for faster and better positioning

- better sound, no distortion, full bass and treble as in my previous ROMs, and even better :)

- tweaked WiFi driver for faster loading

- overclock kernel addon (with frequencies up to 960MHz)

- NO WIPE UPDATE IF YOU ARE COMING FROM v0.9!!! ANY OTHER ROMS PLEASE WIPE DATA FIRST!!

- default CPU governor set to "on demand"

- updated Galaxy S LWP libraries, better performance

- updated LauncherPro to 0.7.1

- updated SuperUser to 2.2.2

- many more kernel code edits, and system edits

- fast as lightning!

- custom kernel with tun, and custom ramzswap (20MB with CONFIG_SWAP_FREE_NOTIFY)

- kernel audio hack (louder and more gain) + system audio hack (bass and treble equalizer, less distortion)

- added Gallery3D from Froyo (credits to mynameisvineeth from XDA)

- updated APN list with French and colombian providers

- updated all included apps

- underclocked kernel (950mV to 1.2V) for maximum battery savings

- FIXED DxDrm -> NO MORE LOGS! I disabled debugging mode

- apps2sd compliant (activate with Malez Recovery)

- gscript to automatically remove left over logs

- sensitivity set to 30, gscript included to make it 25 (temp script)

- media (ringtones, alarms from Galaxy S)

- Galaxy S Theme addon with redone icons by me (it seems that Simoneser beat me to it :P, credits to him)

- and a lot more code/binary/library edits and configs to mention!

It's not fully working... and no screenshot, yet, sorry. Here is the mod from XDA used on the Nexus One, that I'm bringing to the Liquid (screenshot over there). Link

Just a quick update, I'm investigating the glitch, I just got back from class (I have a one hour commute... uhg).

If I get it fixed within the next hour or so, I'll upload V0.2. I plan on making this as close to the desire ROM as possible... so v1, might include some goodies (app replacements + more tweaks from desire ROM). I have a question for Evil D:, would you be okay if I cooked a ROM based on your 1.9 evil ROM (the ROM with the new beta bits :P). Thanks in advance. PM sent just in-case you don't read this.

personally i want a clean non themed rom that i can theme myself.

Ok guys, fixing one last thing, then uploading. One version with just the bar, one with alternate status pull-down bar, another with HTC Sense wallpaper and lastest HTC IME included, for people who want the whole shebang installed after flashing. Saves time, and helps the noobs. Thanks Paul, MoDaCo, and XDA devs for the data! I also took some of our liquid unique icons, battery status unknown, and made, by scratch, a desire icon for it. :P

I might take a look at the Desire Camera app, and see if I can't fix the resolution, light, contrast, and camcorder problems. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll include in next bug fix release if I can. Thanks again to Paul, and Vache, who built us a boot.img with the htc framework code in it... I don't want to steal their work, but merely improve it. :( If anyone has a issue of me borrowing bits and pieces, just PM me, and I'll remove them.

Updated first post. Version 0.3 out. Full desire theme for Acer Liquid (only Evil 1.9 for now, I'll upload an LCR 1.2.3 as soon as I back-port my mods to the system files). I took everything from the Desire ROM I could, apps, and widgets coming soon. :P Testers needed. I've been using this for an hour, and no bugs so far. :(

I don't have time to do work on the widgets now, I have to sleep soon, but sooner or later, I'll have something for you guys. :P I hope you guys like the theme, it's 100% desire.

Omg your gonna make me flash 2.1 again and move away from the 1.6 1ghz kernel, dont know what to do now i love htc stuff, in reality i just love eye candy and htc knows how to bring that lol.

@simoneser : that is the original status_bar_header_background.9.png... I only made it fill the top of the screen... it's the Desire status bar. The one from Evil's ROM is NOT the desire status bar.
