About receiving and sending SMS

If you cannot send or receive sms (and it was working back then with this rom), it's caused by a third party application that you installed that has a function to manage SMS messages.
For example if you installed Vito SMS Chat, messages you send and received will not be visible in Default  WM Inbox, but will be available In Vito SMS Chat...

So if have SMS Chat installed,just check it and your messages will be there
Some applications may overwrite SMS messaging registry entries, which 'causes the mishap

Windows mobile Office package

I installed the Office package 2010 beta, but I get the message that it is no longer valid (was till 5 April).

Is there another version available for the Samsung B7610?

today the rom works fine, very stable but now i have next problem.
i testet wlan at home, works fine. but after a few minutes in standbymode handy freezes and makes nothing.
the only thing who helps is restbutton or battery out.
onyone same problem, or an idea what it isues?

Just installed this rom, and I am very happy with it. Works fast and really is back to basic winmo   .
Only 2 problems witch might be related to each other.

The office 2010 beta has expired, so there's no office suite availlable on the moment. Please make a installable of office 2007.
The other problem is that when I sync with my pc the contacts are not imported to my phone. (Using outlook 2007, windows mobile device center on windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit)

As I said they might be related to each other, since it is possible outlook mobile is needed for the contacts to sync with phone. (it's a theory, not sure about it )

These 2 things are the only 2 probs I found here.

nope, got directly the english version. althought there is a option ( think it was in the samsung settings menu ) to choose a language. But the last custom rom i ran before this one the other languages were just basic winmo 6.5. However mostly only the englisch language is changed and not the other languages.
You can always try it, cause there is a genuine 6.1 stock rom dump here to fall back to (see the collection thread), or you can make a own dump of your phones rom.

Is there a cab for Samsung' s original dialler or can you suggest something good to replace it?  I find that the touch response of winmo dialer isn't that good, also samsung's dialer gives you an option of using record button too.

1. To remove the scroll bar, there is a reg entry for this, but you will lose the scroll bar on WM apps like file explorer, messaging etc.

About the Samsung X-button

X button (close apps)  will not work on WM 6.5.3 and 6.5.5 for the reason that the x-button is not located in the upper right corner of the screen in these builds (it's now in the lower right corner).

To enable 6.5.3-5 x-button to terminate programs again, use this app found here http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=583002
It will not only let you close programs but you will also have other options to set (for start menu and x button)

About Screen Tap Vibrations
Well it works... just set it in Samsung Settings or in WM Settings/sound and notifications/vibrations, check screen taps

Though vibrate will not work on screen keyboard and bottom bar...

But don't worry you can use  Touch Response download it here http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=450256
Install and set the vibration duration for taps... remember to set device ID to 11

I use the MegaLite [320MB] (thanks for this ROM btw) and ArcSoft MMS for WGA and receive messages just fine, sending them I don't know haven't tried it yet.
Make shore your connection settings are correct and you configure them in Arcsoft also.

How to make volume screen work properly? Now it is showing only text system volume and OK

ps. i did instal the Samsung volume control full .cab ... but thats a 240x120 app? So it didnt quite solve the problem ... any other third party SW?

English is the only supported language. changing the language will restore the original rom.
