I had the same problem and resolved it by following wes58 instructions here,
see part with renaming and copying folders...

2. you forget to include zzzzzMyMods to OEM folder or un-select it in BuildOS.... there's a custsat.dll in such folder, you will get poutlook error without this file.

i finished my first polish lite rom (RAM: 100 MB free, ROM: 157 MB)! and... i have some problems...
1. on start errors: poutlook.exe and welcome.exe (cannot open or doesn't signed)
2. Tcalendar doesn't work (cannot open or doesn't signed)
3. Samsung setting named original "Settings" but not in polish "Ustawienia", Phonebook, Touch caendar, Audio note... the same problem...
4. i almost forgot... windows default screen not included... why? I deleted widgets and samsung today only..?
5. phone doesn't work, dial keypad doesn't show

any help will be appreciated

I followed all instructions and made a flashable nb0!
The last few posts made it work when adding the missing folders, I was just about to give up!.
I did not change or delete anything, just follow the flow... Ended up with  plenty of free ram.
As I thought you could just use 1 language I was surprised that all languages was still there. I did not erase the old csc when flashing, that might be the reason as that was the greece csc that came with the d1. When I previously erased csc when flashing i get a "load csc" when conected to pc and turned off.
At least I'm on my way with a first small step thanks to the great instructions.

Next step is to make a new one with all samsung shells gone (going with spb shell) but the rest intact and with only Swedish language and  10 or 15 mb pagepool.
I would not mind skipping Opera also (it's also very large) as i like the mini5 the best anyways.

Can I just erase/remove all files except Opera in the deleted/OEMapps folder that I like to keep and end up with what I want.
Some apps might consist of more than one file so it will be difficult to know exactly what files to use/delete, there looks to be 8 files associated with Opera.
Am I close or completely out cycling here! All help is most appreciated.

If a noob like me could make a nb0 tells volumes about your instructions and tools. Thank you very much Twu2, Sorg, Wes58 and others.

Do you copy the zzzzzMyMods to to OEM folder? and select 'My OEM' in BuildOS?

yes, change language will restore the full official rom from hidden my storage space.

No easy way to find the related files for some package..
Do you use my new script? it will move the package files into OEM folder as a package, you can just select what you want.

What is the number related to each language?

Portuguese =?

We need to do anything else (eg. modifying the registry ...) in addition to adding these files to use another language?

i forgot to select or unchecked myOEM
after that, this morning i was created working lite version of JD1 rom.
but...
still some problems...
1. samsung settings named "Settings" not in polish lang "Ustawienia", the same problem as previously (phonebook etc.) (edited lang.txt from 0409 to 0415)
2. no windows default home screen
3. samsung today doesn't work, can't select...
everything else work like a charm

4. copy _Template folder to I8000NXXJD1, and follow wes58's documentation, copy and change the file we need for LZX compression.

Where do i find this folder ?
When does the i8000NXXJD1 folder is created ?
Where do i find wes58's documentation (not found in the link) ?

when u unpack i8000kichen there is _Template folder
you can create any folder (I8000NXXDJ1 is a sampel)
u have to copy files/dirs from _Template folder to yours (I8000NXXJD1 for example)

I've started to work with Romtool, but i always have some error message related to Imgfstodump missing.

I think i do not have all the tools/files needed to follow your walktrough !

I don't know the number for Portuguese, but you don't need to change the LITE\lang.txt, it just show the deleted_files.txt is based on 0409 language (English).
The script will detect the language from the dump SYS folder, and try to move the .mui files related to 0409.mui.

Based on my experience, you only need to modify the .rgu file under zzzzzMyMods.

1. usually, the shortcut number is modify in initflashfiles.dat or mxipcold_zzzOEM_001.provxml, you can check the content for this 2 files.
2. yes, by default, no any today selected. (You need to select CHome in BuildOS if you need wm6.5's default today, or Samsung WidgetPlus or Samsung Today).
3. do you include it in BuildOS?
