I was wondering which route I should take in order to simply achieve the removal of the Orange branding and apps taking up pointless space on my device. I do not really know what the further benefits of rooting over using a generic ROM will be for me. Can someone please help a noob and in plain English explain the pros and cons of each?? Many thanks in advance David If you're not sure, don't root. Just flash generic, and maybe do some research in the benefits of rooting and how to do it. Good luck. Good luck. Thanks for the advice. At this stage I am doing neither, I just want to guage the pros and cons of each. One thing I do like the sound of regarding rooting is the A2SD option.
