Well done.

Tested and it was nice to get the feeling of Froyo.

Without WIFI working, I had to switch back to old ROM. :)

Looking forward to a full functioning version.

Now i'm a PHHROYO user, THANKS PHH!!!

I tried to set a wallpaper from gallery, but gallery don't show any pic, is normal?

Edit: Stop asking about wifi, PHH knows wifi is missing, froyo for liquid is a PHH creature, don't annoying him, let's test for find other bugs.

Alright, continuation of my post above.

I found out why I keep getting those three numbers, it's the way I'm threading my app.

There now is one single async task that calculates the primes and reports back, what I should have is a couple of asynctasks running to calculate a single prime, thats when the JIT compiler can kick in. (Am I right?).

Anyway, I have to switch back for now :).

Huml yes, my overclocking changes seems bad..

Our board doesn't support 1.3V VDD, and that's what is in sources, so it fallbacks or whatever even worse ...

I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

1.3V is not recommended by Qualcomm and it's also why N1's voltage was dropped to 1.275 in the newer kernels.

I'm not so sure overclocking is really needed with Froyo & JIT compiler. It's already 2x-5x faster than 2.1 at same clock speeds. If anything, should focus on getting better battery life.

You've been waiting for it, now here it comes !

A port of FRF50 (beta Froyo for nexus one) on acer liquid !

do you think Liquid is ready for froyo ?

Does it have enough RAM to work well ?

Thanks

May I ask how to flash the 2.000.16 EMEA ROM from the LiquidE 1.100.05 EMEA System?

I am using the 1.100.0.5 right now, if I want to do that, what can I do?

:)

Test it ? :)

It works fairly well, it lacks of memory, I'll work on it.

then you can not have the 1GHz CPU?

I can, but it will be undervolted, so unstable, anyway that'll be the same thing as what disc0 did before.

Download acer official update tool (see vache link on first page for example), then run the setup tool, and follow the instructions.

Some suggestions:

-Automatic Brightness is set too low (my device seems to be turned off at first boot). Increase default or disable Automatic Brightness by default

-Include Superuser 2.1 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828 ) instead of the old one

-Is it possible to have the old Device HW Info in "About phone"?

-Is it possible to have vibration in softkeys like Eclair?

Some suggestions:

There is a bugtracker for that, for all of thoses, please post an issue.

Hum, it seemed to me it was at full brightness at startup, and I don't know if we can program the automatic brightness.

-Include Superuser 2.1 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828 ) instead of the old one

Ah thanks, I was wondering where we could find that.

-Is it possible to have the old Device HW Info in "About phone"?

Hum, what is supposed to be there ?

-Is it possible to have vibration in softkeys like Eclair?

Possible, but needs to be coded, and low priority.

Awesome work :)

One question, cause of donut kernel, what is total amount of RAM ? (ex. terminal em. and type "free")

150MB ATM, I'll try to work on that.

https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/quic/le/?...ads/donut_lemon

See the 998MHz table, and note that codeaurora is a qualcomm's website.

(donut_lemon seems to be the tree acer started there kernel from)

How maintained is that codeaurora tree? Anyway, here's the snippet from N1 changelog that I'm referring to:

So we can post also suggestions in bugtracker, not only bugs?

For me it's at lowest brightness, huh? :)

There it should be all HW Info (RAM, ROM, CPU etc)

It should be nice :) Cause latest Eclair leak has 190mb RAM which can be used for linux=>we are missing 40mb usefull for multitasking :)( Continue in your perfect work please :)

This tree is fairly well mantained, see the commit list, anyway, i'm not suprised at all with that, qualcomm has many trees, and I've seen that all trees are totally "free", ie there are some devs per branch, and they do whatever they want to do.

So we can post also suggestions in bugtracker, not only bugs?

Sure.

Right, really lowest priority ever :)

Hum, 190MB will be hard to get I think. (well I'm still not sure, liquid has 256+32 or 256+64 MB of memory ?)

What can I do if the program said it's not supported? :)

You can just run the setup, at one point the files are extracted, including the bin, and are stored somewhere on the harddrive, I can't remember exactly where, but I think it was stored in a folder on the root of the C drive.

There used to be a post on this, a couple of pages back I think.
