I put my order in at 10pm last night hoping that it would be with me later that night (I'd read stories of people on here getting theirs between 10 mins and a few hours) but I STILL haven't received anything yet and I desperately need a working phone again! I forgot to include my IMEI number with my payment but sent another email shortly afterwards including it.

I got my code from HTCSimUnlock.com last week, within 10 minutes of ordering. However, I ordered my code at just before 1pm UK time, rather than outside of normal UK business hours. I don't know where they are physically located, but other sites of this nature are often in India, so it's probable that you ordered in the middle of the night, and I rather suspect the process isn't as automated as you'd think.

In addition, they do say in their FAQ that in 5% of cases they have to go back HTC to get a code, and that can take 24 hours.

Send an email to the support email address on the website to ask where your code is. I'm sure you will get your code - you just need to be patient.

To answer your second question, the unlock code doesn't change so if your phone ever gets sim locked again, the same code should unlock it.

Regards,

Dave

I'm also looking to unlock my desire. If we get a third person then the price drops to ~£11 ! :)

Edit: ooops, didn't realise that you had already placed an order... Still if 2 others wish to unlock their phones let's do it.

When I got mine, after the paypal payment I was returned to the htcsimunlock site where there was a form to fill in the imei and make/model. So you've probably broken their order process. I'm sure they'll get back to you, i got mine in about 90 mins on a sunday afternoon.

Also, I believe it's permanently unlocked, so you wont need to pay again :)

I can get you codes from my local market trader, (think he gets them direct from a friend who works at the call centre, orange and t-mobile have call centres near by) he charges £11.99, I pass every day so am happy to help out if it saves people a few quid who have sim locked there phone. (wish I knew sooner I had a right fight with orange getting a code of them)

just send me a private message and we can sort something out, cant beat 10 minutes service though!!

Someone ordered after coming directly from this post with email address: samshuk2[at yahoo.com]

However, the email address is being returned from yahoo as 'invalid user' so whoever placed an order with that email address then please email us through our website because your email address is in valid and your IMEI # is also invalid.

thanks! :)

I Trust HTCsimunlock.com

I used ebay 190401080600 to unlock my T-Mobile HTC Desire. Cost £8.99 and I had it within a few hours on a Saturday afternoon (should be within the hour for working weekdays). Can't praise their service enough.

It was recently sold, maybe that has something to do with the dipped service?

Attention! Deceive.

www.htcsimunlock.com paid for the code to unlock Desire Orange. On the mailbox Rishel response that the code is not found. Money, however, did not return. Wrote them on the mailbox, but always comes the same response from the robot.

Why don't you try http://www.htccode.com , they have a tie up with Modaco . And they even tell you if the code is available on their database .

With all due respect, don't listen to this advice. I've had a bad experience with htccode trying to milk me for more money (and refusing to refund otherwise, I eventually got the money back with a paypal dispute), as have many others on this forum.

Tell me where you can guarantee to get the code for Desire Orange?

Well, I happened to use htcsimunlock.com successfully, but I can't guarantee anything.

Looks like I may have just got burned. Thought I'd take the plunge despite a mixed bag of reviews online. I paid, got moved along to the page where I enter my phone's details... Filled it in, but one minor problem. There's no button to click, to submit the form! I tried it in 3 different browsers. I've emailed support, but I'm not holding my breath.

I also tried them on Friday. I have got the same problem, no "Proceed" button appears so you cannot sent order. I tried emailing direct with IMEI, no response. I then tried again and the third time I requested a refnd: heard nothing back. I did recieve an eila containging my "order" but the link it contained to download simply opens http://www.unlock-the-iphone.com/?id=program, another website.

So I paid £12.17 for nothing, I paid direct so now they have all my details too so it looks like a call to the bank to cancel my card is in order.

In short, as much as I'd like to think the company is legit, it certainly looks like a scam to me.

It's pretty annoying... While people had issues in threads I read, a site rep would often resolve problems and the customers would come back stating all was fine.

Little did I know the site was recently sold. I guess the new owner is less than legitimate. I wonder why someone would invest $10,000 to defraud people. Surely scamming a few people would never return that investment?

Time to try and get my money back through PayPal. Including the extra $5 for 'VAT' and a 'processing fee'.

Still no reply from them. Clearly has now become a scam site. Avoid at all costs.

I ended up getting a code form express-codes on eBay. Couldn't recommend him more. Replies to support questions almost straight away... He claims to be online 18 hours a day and I think it's true. His auction stated that the code would be sent by post, but I emailed and asked if it could be supplied by email and he was happy to oblige. Cost £18 but worth it.

Certainly a scam. Been 2 days and no response from htcsimunlock.com. Can someone suggest an easier way to get out of this mess? I gave my credit card details. Also can someone suggest a better option?
