Why does the Omnia 2 randomly close things?

Today I was using Opera 10, PockeTwit, and had messaging and active sync open in the background. Out of nowhere, my phone decides to close all running apps. Why? When I reopened the apps and looked at the memory manager the phone said I had ~20MB of RAM free. About a week ago while using the newest Bing app, it froze on me once and then closed on me another time (while still trying to navigate to the same destination - which was under 30 mins away from my current location) while I looked at something in Opera 10. What gives? In this cases I did not have time to look at the memory manager.

I should note that I am using chainfire's AutoClose patch with custom settings of CloseStartMB 6 and CloseStopMB of 10. When I first got the phone I found I could not have Opera 9.7 ( <-- what's with the 3 tab restriction btw?) or Opera 10 open with PockeTwit, Google Maps, messaging, and ICS running. I could do this with my Omnia 1, shouldn't I be able to do this on a phone that has better hardware?

Also when I am typing (or swyping) sometimes that keyboard randomly disappears, my Omnia 1 did the same thing as well. Anyone else running into these issues?

The omnia 2 has better hardware than the omnia 1 that is true. However with better hardware comes a need for good drivers. I believe the samsung drivers aren't very good and in fact slapped over from the omnia2 i8000 (just MHO). Remember that the O2 is vga which means 2x the real estate as the O1. Memory management on this phone is very poor, as half of the "RAM" is reserved for the phone. Why? who knows. GWES is a beast and grows to an uncontrollable amount.

Opera 10 is a memory hog and opening too many tabs will kill the phone. have you tried uZard browser? Its fast and supports flash10, it is however not as polished as Opera 10.

...just my 2 cents
