Yes, according to transistor theory it will. But I think the change is not that big. The power consumption should change linearly with the clock speed. Then you add a constant power loss to dissipation. So that means That if you clock your omnia from 800 to 950, it will only consume about 15% more.
Note that I never tested this, just theory.

Do you think you could fix the mpll crippling your tool does on the i8000? For some reason when i use this tool it locks my mpll at 305*0.5 = 152.5 when the native mpll speed for i8000's is 388*0.5 = 194
I understand you are building this officially for the b7610 but it would certainly be appreciated if you could make this great tool work equally well on the i8000! Thanks, and keep up the good work.

do we need to install Set3Clock+FPU Enabler+ etc before installing your apps?

hey guys, got a weird problem. I overclocked to 900Mhz and rebooted my phone. After that it says that my sim is missing!!! When I went back to disable " auto set CPU speed at startup" and rebooted again, it's back again...
I am using Daskalos 6.5 Sense ROM

a further question: would the increase in consumption only occur when there's "something to do" for the processor, ie. phone being used, or will it also occur when the phone is on, but in sleep-mode?
(if the first should be the case, how about a background service that automatically OCs the phone on wake-up & then UCs it on entering sleepmode?)

It will just retain the overclocked speed when device is in use. When device sleeps, the speed automatically scales down. When device wake up, S3Clock restores the OC speed that was set.
Like my ROMs?

first time im hit FPU enabler, thenS3Clock and nothing happen... then i hit 954Mhz and nothing happen, example pop up notification or something like that.. please guide me...
i hope next release will work with WM 6.5.3 or WM 6.5.3 version

its not working for me either on GC's 6.5.3 JE3 or GC's 6.5.3 JD1. Maybe everyone could post on which roms the program is working?
Edit: it appears that as of now, overclocking will only work on 6.1 and 6.5, not 6.5.3 or 6.5.5. I just went back to GC's JD4 and it is working great.

my b7610 is now running @900mhz without any flaws, i am using your wm6.5.3 full rom if not mistaken. however it was not easy to let it run, the GUI is not very simple to understand, however your how-to is more than perfect, now i understand it,
@kipps, i am not a great fan of benches, if you don't notice any difference when using apps/vids/games there is something wrong with the oc or your app!
