Hello,
I have just been offered an OTA bravo 1.21 update but after downloading and while installing, which appeared to me as being done in the recovery mode, the green symbol over the mobile turned to a red question mark. This happend at around 40% of the progress bar. I am wondering if whether rooting the device has caused this?

I have the same problem. My phone is rooted too (and everyone else who had this problem seemed to have rooted phones too).

So yeah, get a rooted ROM, like r3.1 from Modaco http://android.modac...online-kitchen/

I'm luckily extremely paranoid about updating firmwares on modded devices before checking the forums.

I got prompted for the update this morning and rejected it so that I could read up here and look for problems. Sorry to hear you've hit problems with it.

As I suspected then I'll need to use a custom upgrade to keep root....Looks like I'll need to figure out where on earth my goldcard has hidden itself if I'm going to upgrade.

Anyone got any reports on differences post upgrade?

Is it worth the hastle of backing up everything on titanium, rebooting a few times and installing new roms?

Also is titanium intelligent enough not to mess up the new android installation by importing details to a different version of android wrongly?

I had firmware  1.15.405.4, updated OTA to HBOOT 0.8 and firmware 1.21.405.2 before rooting with r6 riskfree root by Paul. That was like 2 weeks ago.

Today, I had an OTA saying update to 1.21.405.2. I thought it might be FroYo but it was small in size (27.07 know) so I said: hey, no harm in updating.

The OTA rolled me back to 1.15 again with all its problems. Whenever I check for an update, it downloads the same file again and boots with a red question mark over a disk icon and I still have the same 1.15 firmware.

Any idea what's causing this and how to fix?

How do i get the 1.21 update?? im on 1.19??
