The manufacturer will do our best to bring Android to the average user, make the operating system simple and understandable. . And I must say that LG did it fully, in the staff are all very logical, the user need not delve deeply into technical features. . This interface manufacturer can turn off and compare it with the "naked" Android. In this experiment will immediately become clear to all the benefits of the original shell LG. In addition, the manufacturer as soon as possible, namely the middle of July 2010, promises to release the operating system upgrade for Optimus to release Android 2.1.

Yes, and I dont see anywhere anyone to state that 2.1 will come in July ...true?

So..as I said, 2.1 will come in August, maybe late August ... not 100% sure yet, but will update.....

Hello,

Yesterday I was on a big LG presentation, where I asked about relase dates. The LG representative told me that 2.1 for GT540 will be coming on late September, early october.

True, but it also depends on the country.

Some countries will have it MID September

There will be no flash support for the gt540 because of its processor ArmV6 (doesn't support flash instructions). It will be availble on ArmV7 and above. I am afraid we will be stuck with flash lite for now :(

With html5 the videos are imprinter in the code and this html5 standard will be independent from 3rd party plug-ins like flash player...

You could try "Skyfire" ( http://get.skyfire.com/dl_android.php or search on the market) i am sore it supports streaming videos. I have read somewhere on some Polish site (try google translate) that the upgrade to 2.1 will bring us flash lite for our phones so lets hope for the best.

Unofficial source states that firmware 2.1 was assembled July 22, and now it is under beta testing.
