[AFX3D]

Hi folks. My new htc legend broke the first day. My screen that is. It was the first touch screen ive had. How can i fix this? Update a rom? How do i do it?
What would you have done? Im thinking about connecting it to the pc somehow....thats my only chance....i need a phone...

edit: Where can i download official roms? I want to try a older one as my first try...
Right now i got rom version: 1.31.405.5 ...

a crack in the screen will NOT get fixed by updating a rom

Hi. Thanks for your reply. The screen is not broke as in a crack. I surfed the web....
Then i went on the site: wimp.com , and the phone freezed. I removed the battery, and restarted. But the screen is black.
??? bad quality, but i can send it in and get the new one. But im trying to figure it out myself. The screen cant brake lika that?
Gotta be something with the phone. I need to flash it again. Then it may work again?


edit: I tried updating the rom just now. But the screen is still broke. It has stopped working. I think the phone got overheated, and broke..
I can only hear the starting sound. But then its a stop. Can i connect it to a pc somehow. Just connect to the drive?
hmm. i whish i could take a photo of the screen...

its blurry like a really bad connection with an old tv...little green. But its broke. And ill have to replace it. But im thinking about smashing it in the ground hard. Do whatever. I will get a new phone anyways...
oh well. Ill go with an iphone instead. This phone has really bad quality!

About the quality i can not agree i have mine for a 8 weeks and had no trouble ( ok i caused a usb brick and got ir resolved ( thank to this forum))  but i'm still amazed with the screen still no scratches.
if you start up your phone do you see the boot screen well ?
or is it also blurry ?
if you see it well it can be a app that starts at boot that is causing your trouble .

Performing a factory reset using phone buttons

If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

   1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
   2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button..
   3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.
   4. Press VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.

hard reset, or come back to the shop for a new legend (if you are in the first week) or warranty by htc that is really good and fast.

Yeah. I got a new phone for free the sqme week. And its the best phone i have ever had. period.
