First thing's, Thanks to:

Paul for the ROM this is based upon.

udk for the initial leak.

richardtrip for the DeFrost Rom.

This is my first ever attempt at stripping a ROM down, it will probably be buggy.

DeLite.png

This is the same as 09/Jul r4 WIP - MoDaCo Custom ROM for HTC Desire with Online Kitchen - Froyo FRF85 / FRF91 with Sense

with the following changes:

  • Stripped out the HTC Sense UI & all Sense based Widgets (They only work with the Sense UI)
  • AOSP Calendar - DeFrost
  • AOSP Clock - DeFrost
  • AOSP Browser - DeFrost
  • AOSP Music - DeFrost
  • Patched Launcher 2 to work with HTC Dialler & Contacts
  • Network Location Fixed - meLIanTQ
  • English United Kingdom enabled
  • WiFi N Enabled (To be tested)
  • Large APN List - DeFrost, so MMS maybe buggy.
  • Menu Button to Wake

    • AOSP Clock's gallery button not working
    • HSDPA Icon not enabled
    • Social Network Contacts sync not functioning with HTC Contacts

    Requirements:

    Radio version - 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04

CAUTION FOR ORANGE USERS - The above radio will network lock your Desire, please purchase a Network Unlock code to get around this.

If you experience problems after flashing try a full wipe, and flash again.

    Download:

    DeLite r3

Optional update to enable protected Market Apps - uses fingerprint from 2.1-update1

    Change log:

    r3: Fixed /data/data permissions

Awesome, this is EXACTLY what I have been after. The stability of an actual Desire rom, but without Sense. Great job!

What services are you running? 3G, BT, WiFi, Exchange???

I agree, the battery life is what's kept me away from it... but this rom is more appealing as I hate sense!!!

Just one thing, does this rom have old school APP2SD+ ?

Was left on standy with wifi on & just push email.

Running it today with 3G

APPS2SD+ is a no for that, if I can figure out how to do a rom like this from scratch I would be willing to add it as an option though.

Hi,

Does this one have the AOSP Contacts app as well? I would love to have the HTC dialer, and the AOSP Contacts app. The HTC Contacts app (People) won't let me sort names by surname, which is quite annoying to me.

It's on the todo list.

Not as easy to swap out as on 2.1

This looks nice, might be worth keeping an eye on this ROM :)

Random question (to anyone) - if you remove the HTC_lockscreen from a ROM is it replaced by the stock Android one?

It is on ones based on the 2.2 leak, but turning off the alarm set by the HTC Clock app does not work with the AOSP lockscreen.

Interesting...will keep an eye on this as I like the stock android look with Desire icons/taskbar/etc...downloading now to have a nose around the ZIP

Do you know if it is possible to let it live beside the HTC dialer?

And can you please add the Android keyboard as well, I just hate (I seem to be the only one) the HTC one.

Oh and I just noticed I cannot install Maps
