I'm really tempted to get this as a first step into the Android world since it seems to tick all the right boxes for me. The only problem is a lot of the reviews aren't good and all point to the same problems; mainly the screen, keypad, sluggish performance and constant crashing.

Obviously the screen issue is to be expected for the price point and size of the device but I'm wondering if the other issues can be solved with future firmware/software updates?

Well of course the screen isn't prefect, but well usable.

Most annoying is the resistive screen in combination with the keyboard. It's difficult to use without the pen that comes with the pulse.

I don't see any crashes. Softwareside runs fine so far.

Performance is good for a rather cheap like this one.

as G stated above, the mini's screen is kinda small depends what u do, keyboard is a bit tricky to use but in 20 key mode it isnt that bad, just wait to get used to it. about crashes for me there were none.

1 thing i dont like about the mini is its camera. pics are blurry, somewhat unfocused. lets say they sux if u compare with others 3MP cameras. (not to mentions my old nokia 6630 has better camera, 1.3MP without autofocus)

but u get nice cute little phone with wifi, gps and crap, class6 2gb card :( for a cheap android phone it is damn good :(

Ow yeah, i do expect to see Froyo somewhere in future since its quite capable of running it
