Ok today when I was just planning to get FLB 1.2 tested, I had to walk about 100 meters under rain, when I came home I've seen my Pulse died, socking wet   After some dancing with wife's fan machine around the phone - it started but... no touchscreen      waiting now for complete dry out - maybe will help.

Take the battery out, and let dry it immediately, you can even set it in a bowl of rice overnight it help will soak up any remaining humidity.

Isnt rice cooker too hot for the plastic? Thank you for advise though, I will take a look at it.

Not into the cooker but in a bowl of plain rice. Rice tends to soak up water when isn't cooked....

he didn't mean cook it! rice absorbs moisture, just a bowl with rice in. Other options include sticking in you airing cupboard (or wherever your hot water tank is), silica gel - if you have bought any new shoes recently its the stuff in the little bag in the box; it'll work just like the rice.

Yeah, I like it cooked, nice and crispy

As for the moisture indicator, I think its more likely that its the square on the left side, the sticker covering the screw on the right side is there just to prevent opening the phone. It looks like its litmus paper (or something similar), and its already been in contact with moisture and that's why its red...

Hmm, some say this is white circle protecting the screw, others - square, may be someone who knows for sure can make a picture of his phone's back side with pointing to the indicator?

The white sticker covering the screw is meant to be the sensor but I think it's just a warranty sticker. There is a red and white square inside a hole on the left. I believe this is the sensor and if it gets wet the red will run into the white and either make it all red or pink. Red and white is fine. My new pulse is brand new and the sensor is half red half white.

Yep, I think you are right, it's all pinkish here, I dont see any color divisions.

Update on working condition - after four hours in rice and about half an hour under hair dryer the touchscreen is back BUT there is no radio, no WiFi neither GSM didnt try GPS though, removed battery and sim card, put it back into rice bowl. Already looked at ebay... dont think there is anything like Pulse though. Pulse is the BEST!

Remove the battery immediately, and let it dry for 1-2 more days (in covered bowl of rice). Plus try using a vacuum cleaner or your mouth (yeah really) to suck out the remaining vapor.

Seriously, at least give your machine a chance. If you turn your phone on and off (while there's still liquid in it) it'll ultimately short circuit (thus you can pretty much forget about it). Let it dry for at least 2 days, without trying turning it on.

Ok, my pulse is no good as a phone anymore, it cannot connect to any network, it doesnt see network card (doesnt show it's MAC address) but there are some positives:
1. I learned that smartphones are very sensitive to moisture, and there is big chance of damaging it even following all rules (neighbor got Nexus One under the same rain and followed all rules, but has got the same issues as I do)
2. Tre update now installs without touch screen problem, so I can use tre kernel, but those who still have that problem - dont try to solve the problem my way!
3. I found out that tre can fix my phone but without warranty which will cost from $100 and more. Well, the price for fixing is 50% of the price I've got the phone half an year ago, that is sad, other options are more expensive - see ebay.
I was thinking to get Samsung Spica or Pulse again but the prices bite.
If tre will tell me that I will have to pay for repairs more that $100 I will probably go foa new phone and if that phone will not be Pulse, I will have to leave your wonderful community.

My advice would be to put your pulse on ebay for "spares and repairs" tell it how it is, say what works and what doesn't and just leave out how it happened (Honestly! It's for spares and repairs right?)
The put the money towards getting yourself a Spica (Goes for around £100 on ebay UK)

i checked ebay.co.uk and found only few shipping to Sweden and 215+20 is the cheapest http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item4aa1aa2538 I think I would rather buy something in Sweden or Germany, in Sweden I can get something with warranty left. Well, this is all just a talk so far, Thank you for advice though, I might do so to get a little of my money back.
