Just letting you all know about SimProduction's newest free app.

Called "LWP Creator" on the Android market.

Description

With this live wallpaper, you can create your own live wallpaper out of a bunch of PNG files.

Requirements

SD card with a folder with images in this format: 1.png, 2.png, 3.png, 4.png ... #.png

Device Support

Devices that have 2.1+ are able to install this live wallpaper.

Phones that reported problems:

HTC Hero

HTC Eris

These two phones do not support live wallpapers. This is not my fault and there is nothing I can do about it.

EDIT: I have uploaded a PacMan anime i have made, please be kind :)

Just unzip and place on the root of your sdcard,

The setting i used were:

FPS = 35

Source= /sdcard/live wall

Images = 120

Edit: Have made the Androman (pacman) smaller at only 120.pngs for a faster and less cpu intensive animation.

Also if you use this in app please credit me :D

EDIT: to those 3 who d/l zip and wonder why its not working i never renamed them properly, but have now please re d/l. thanks :D

Yes the zip download works fine but it contains just the wallpaper. The actual program isn't included in it and I'm not able to find it anywhere..

Ah yea we would not include the app in the zip file lol. But you should find it on the market. Either search for LWP or look for boot animation changer by Andres Schmois and go to developers other applications.I know its still their as had a nice comment on it today..

And I'm not sure what's going on with the qcode for the free ver. As its still in ImageShack.. I know ImageShack is unstable as it keeps looking my pics grrr lol.

Thanks! You should include the actual name of the app ("LWP Creator") in your post so that it's easy to find!

Also, regarding the screen resolution, I've found that anything wider than 1 screen gets compressed (squeezed) and causes the wallpaper to look bad + eat lots of CPU! So if you're on say a Nexus or Desire, the width of the image shouldn't exceed 480 px. (I thought that if it was greater than 480px the image would simply spill onto the other homescreens..)

I've created a png set of the classic XP Bliss screensaver but it's really slow, at all FPS settings. And it uses 100% CPU. Will try resizing the images ...
