I figured a lot of people want this instead of a nandroid backup so here you go. You're all welcome. Be aware that you will need to upload the fixed build.prop (recommended for US users) and change the boot animation (optional). Unpack the zip file and use stock recovery to flash this update.

My OEM version is GAUSB1A120521-US

Password is streakthis

Thanks and donations are much appreciated.

I received the notification a couple of days ago. That's weird how most people didn't get notified.

Anyone tried it?

How'd you get the update anyway? I haven't recieved any notifications

Screw it, flashing it now.

Will tell you guys if it's legit.

EDIT: Whilst flashing built date says august 5 2010, seems recent.

EDIT: Flash done, this is indeed legit. Get updating fellas.

How odd...I get serious lag with the long press on the home screen? All the widgets are wider too....facebook finally sync sthough.

EDIT: Scratch that, fbk doesn't sync.

update seems good on o2 uk dell. psx4droid faster on this new build but widget sizes are getting ridiculous...with each release we are getting less and less sceen space.

They made it so we couldnt delete the screens. Now they are going to force you to use them!

At dell:

It seems people arent using all the home screens... hmmm.. lets make the icons and widgets bigger!

Can the OP update the first post with flashing instructions?

I have a rooted DELL unlocked but stock recovery.

Used to flashing my Nexus or G1 so not sure how to on the Dell?!

Thanks

Is anyone else finding this ROM a bit slow and laggy - Any system dialogues that come up seem to fade in slowly and jittery, as if resources are running low , rather that smooth & Quickly like the "older" 2.1

Or is it just me ?

Flashed fine here, seems to be a complete Update.pkg, i dont think this is the Official 2.1, seeing as my Version still reads 2.1-update1. I'd have thought when the official, final 2.1 it'd jus say version 2.1.

I do agree with the speed, it doesn't feel as 'snappy' as the older 2.1's, but it does seem a little more stable!

So an update that seems a bit sluggish? I will wait for more reports of the entire rom before flashing. The last 2.1 update is running fine for me so unless anything has improved.
