Guest Freezy1982
If you give me your original backlight.dll, I can verify and try to patch that  . That would be so great! (not only for me, but for all B7610 users) Here you are!backlight.zip
Guest scorpion66
same thing happend to me today. After I installed the patch I don*t have lock screen anymore. I uninstalled your patch but the lock option doesn work anymore. If you find any solution please post it. Thank you! Same for me but i was lucky as after the uninstall my lock screen came back. You could try switching to classic lock screen then back to WM6.5 one - it wil reboot each time but might fix it. As far as the backlight staying on its something i would like but this hack is not working for me.
Guest sgoo
That would be so great! (not only for me, but for all B7610 users) ... Your dll is substantially different, so I can't verify the patch in my O2 i8000, but YOU can do it B) : >>> LS_BackLight_B7610 <<< Let me know ...

Guest sgoo
I want to thank everyone who expressed me their appreciation and congratulations. It's my pleasure B) . With regard to reported bugs, I do not know what to suggest because I have never had  ... ( maybe only when I could not successfully re-certify the dll and my ROM was not patched "NoCert" ) . Guest sgoo
First of all, thank sgoo. JF5 runs. but I have a problem. if I set the backlight time at a specific time when I unlock the screen and block after unlocking no longer hold it during which I have established. How can I solve this problem? Thanks again. I'm sorry but I can not understand very well. If you're referring to the backlight timeout when O2 is in lock, it is set to 7 seconds by default. To make it equal to the backlight timeout that is set for normal operation ( not in lock ) you need to set: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Backlight\LockLevel] "LockLevel"=dword:ffffffff ( or -1 in decimal ) If you're telling me that, somehow, the backlight timeout you have set is not respected : I dont know what to suggest, because I have never happened :) . Guest valiwm
yes,the backlight timeout I have set is not respected but I will try and change the registry. Thanks sgoo works :) Edited October 4, 2010 by valiwm
Guest Naga01
I have a strange problem in my i8000 recently. My display doesn't get off at all. phone gets locked as per the default setting but the display doesn't get off. When i lock the phone manually the display gets off, but it gets back on after some seconds(number of seconds varies) The strangest part is display works normal when it is charging or connected to computer. Have anybody faced this problem before or its only me ?

Guest Naga01
... have you a running OpenGL task ??? Not Sure on this, I am running Energy Sense 2.5 ROM build 21680 and i have not installed anything new on that yet. This doesn't look like a ROM issue as nobody have complained so far. Guest sgoo
... I don't have the minimum suspect on the correct functionality of that ROM :) . Please, try to check the following registry keys : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight] "BatteryTimeout"=dword: ??? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\LockLevel] "LockLevel"=dword: ??? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen] "Active"=dword: ??? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone] "L"=dword: ??? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\State] "Lock"=dword: ??? Guest Naga01
Except the below everything else is already set to 0. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight] "BatteryTimeout"=dword: ??? i tried setting this to 0 also, but no effect. its still the same.
Guest sgoo
... well !!! , everything looks good :) . An inevitable question: if you remove the patch ( uninstalling the cab, for example ) all comes back to work correctly ?? Have you already tried to set : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\LockLevel] "LockLevel"=dword:ffffffff ???
Guest sakku
i just installed your lock screen dll file from cab. it's working like a charm.. thanks.. but i disable it from samsung setting (lock when device is woken up). why after i leave o2 for a while, it's still in lock mode ? seems it's no effect on that options when using your dll file.. Guest sgoo
... "Lock at wake up" and "Lock after inactivity" are ever been two different and independent settings, I think ;) . But probably I haven't well understand the question :) .

But probably I haven't well understand the question :) . i mean, if i disable the samsung setting on the options "lock when device wake up", that means the device is always in no lock condition. but after using your dll patch, that options will no effect. device still always in lock condition where i put enable or disable on that options. is that your bugs on the dll ? hope u understand what i mean.. thanks

Guest sakku
... mmm :) ... it's very strange !!! What's the content of : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\LockScreen] "Lock"= ??? ??? just checked, the value of Lock=0 so, it means, no lock.. but leaving the device until it in standbye condition, and activate it again, still bring it in lock condition. what's wrong ? Guest sgoo
Sorry sakku, the inevitable question :) : if you remove the patch ( uninstalling the cab, for example ) all comes back to work correctly ??? and also : what's your device ??? what's your ROM ??? what do you have in Startup ??? Have you installed something like this : ??? Want you try the settings : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\LockLevel] "LockLevel"=dword:0 and then : "LockLevel"=dword:1 ; "LockLevel"=dword:2 ; "LockLevel"=dword:3 ??? Guest sgoo
Just for fun, a little quiz : what do you think will serve this simple ( MortScript ) workaround ??? RegWriteDWord( "HKLM","\Software\samsung\RIL\SIMTKIT","PlayToneRunning",1 ) Run( "\Windows\cprog.exe" ) Sleep( 20000 ) RegWriteDWord( "HKLM","\Software\samsung\RIL\SIMTKIT","PlayToneRunning",0 ) As little suggestion I can say that I wrote it after I poked in ProxSensor.dll :) .
