route66? does that mean we will lose the cool features of google maps nav?

No Google Maps Navigation will still be available.

Does the shape look a bit strange or is it just because you are using a wide angle lens?

The shape is more square due to the larger screen size. Its now 4.3 inches meaning a slightly squarer looking device. See some photos of the EVO 4G which is pretty much the same.

Thanks

the most I hate with HTC design are the shortcut of home, menu, back, and zoom. it should abstract symbolize, for example symbol buton of PS2: square, triangle, circle, and cross

"Has it been "ROOTED" yet"

"When can I get Gingerbread on it"

"Is your MCR available for this one Paul"

OK thought I'd just get those out first :lol:

Looks a great phone and with this HTC event being held in London

Me thinks we'll be getting these sometime soon

AWESOME

:)

Sounds like a great idea, be really vague about what the buttons do so people will get really frustrated with the device and decide the iPhone is better. Great suggestion Mr. Jobs, but I see what you are trying to do here.

Seriously, that is the dumbest suggestion I have ever heard.

Without being quite as harsh, I completely agree. Symbol buttons are great when their use is application/context sensitive, in the case of consoles or softkeys for example. You can make the button do whatever seems relevant at the time.

These buttons, however, have a set and defined purpose. Home is indeed for home. Back is indeed for back. These buttons are universally used throughout the whole of Android so giving them obscure symbols makes no sense whatsoever.
