Desire Custom ROMs

Hello,

I was wondering if the Custom ROMs including Cyanogen Mod 6.1 designed for HTC Desire will also work with Desire Z version.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it won't work, as Desire Z uses entirely new processor, hence different kernel etc.

Also the G2 (Basically The american vanilla Android version of this phone) is said to have a rootkit, which restores the original Rom if Rooting etc is found.
