Hi.. a friend of mine has this little fella...
so, she has good data packet but cant use it on her laptop.. told her about pdanet but she said she cant install it or get it to work, not sure which one...
her husband has x10 and pdanet is working fine...
so... can it be setup without root or is there any other program to enable it?

It might be uninteresting for the thread creator now, but The EasyTether (for free at Android Market) is a two piece solution an "app" to install on the Android phone and a "program" That has to be installed on each comp that one wants to tether.
The Free-ware version have some kind of limitation, but I bought the Pro version.
The PC program is available for both Windows and Ubuntu.

Also the EasyTether app doesn't need a rooted X10 Mini/Pro
