Hi !

I bought a Huawei Ideos or U8150-B in HK - it works nicely and is completely Huawei standard.

Is there a recovery console I can flash to it ?
Has anyone done this ?
Is there any way to test out the Pulse Mini's clockwork recovery image without flashing it ?

Any ideas ? I'm basically looking to create a backup of the unit as it is now..

Not sure but I suppose you could fastboot a recovery image instead of flashing it.

instead of doing this:
fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery recovery-RA-pulsemini-v1.6.2.img

you could try this:
fastboot-windows.exe boot recovery-RA-pulsemini-v1.6.2.img

I suppose it may work. If it does not then it may be enough to replace the kernel in the recovery image with the U8150 kernel.
Btw, did you import the phone or did you buy it in a physical location in Hong Kong. If you imported it, how did you do it?

That worked - I used Clockwork recovery 1.8.1.4 for the Pulse Mini.

The buttons aren't all mapped correctly, but the nandroid backup seems to have worked fine. I haven't yet tried to restore from it, but it seems OK.

The phone was bought from Expansys in HK - it it pretty nice and much more responsive..

I've made a search in Huawei website and I found a couple of firmwares

it suposes to work on U8150 but I've read that U8110 and U8150 are hardware compatible

any of theese can, by chance, be used on a U8110?

If possible can anyone tell me how to make it work

How can we create a Clockwork recovery version that is 100% compatible with the U8150-B ?

The 1.8.1.4 for Pulse Mini works, but the Hardware ID'd match the U8110 rather than the U8150-B.
Also the buttons don't match perfectly, and there may be other issues..

How do we make this happen ?
