so need to create an ext2 partition ex-novo on sd and deinstall launcherpro, gscriptlite & quickboot ?

Your update.zip so simply delete the app you have listed above and move apps&dalvik to sd ?

so i don't lose all my app previuously installed ?

i've read into script, seems it have 'wiped' all /system/app but gscript lite, quick boot and launcher pro ;)

this is what we call a LITE rom :)

Sir,

The point of this ROM is for the phone to be functional. I am not going after beauty stylistic set-up. So I have my own Apps/Dalvik/(Data(soon)) to SD that is less intrusive and will never cause any boot loops. Further plans I have is to have my own app back-up system better integraded into this rom hopefully, better and any app backup out in the market.

It is in fact I have tested that my apps2sd back and forth with Malez's works. So that's the point of this ROM.

first thank you a lot for this ROM! Second I would like to ask you:

1) is an ext2 partition mandatory?

2) Dalvik on SD, can you tell by your experience differences on speed and battery?

On my older symbian smartphones when I had apps used by the system on the SD (instead of on phone´s memory) it consumed more battery and performance was worse. Symbian turns off the microSD when no data on it is used *but* if you install system apps (like launchers, UI weather widgets, etc) on the SD it cannot turn off the microSD as that data is constately being used, thus no microSD energy savings could be used. I can tell that I had around 15-20% less battery just for that.

Can you tell me if Dalvik on SD makes that happen too?

Thank you, joos. It's working and very good.

Some questions,

1. How can I just enable apps2sd on app only without moving dalvik-cache to sd?

2. Why /system is full on 100% after installing and how can I do?

3. adb remount is not working

1) If you have a partition , it must be ext2. When there is no partition, nothing will be moving.

2) Speed for dalvik-cache on the SD is just as fast. Wait till data then consider speed dropping as we were warned.

But you maybe correct as it could consume more battery. I am testing it right now on the road it sure does it consumes more.

***Edit ***

I may have been inaccurate, saying that dalvik-cache on SD is just as fast. It may not be as fast when transition from using app to another. It may not be also fast when you start the app. However, after initial stage when using an app like games it should be as fast because the Davlik-Cache should remain in our nice 512mb ram, SD is not involve then. That's why I pity Sony X10 and its 1.6 ver of android. BUT as I am saying this I feel some lagging with my game as well. Maybe I'm wrong on my assessment.

1. After flashing my ROM, and you want to get back the dalvik-cache, you may use malez to put the All back to phone, and then Apps2SD only. My boot only serves as a superboot for malez. The difference is that my is a hard simlink, compare to Malez's soft link, but both works with my boot setup.

2. can you tell me where did you see /system is full 100%? I better double check myself

3. mounting under recovery should be perfectly OK.

hehe sorry for the delay in answering, I should not have uploaded this apps just before I was leaving home.

Thank you. I've already moved dalvik-cache back to phone in Recovery. Now is faster than everything in sd.

Therefore, I don't know what is full of system directory, so show you the structure as below.

Go settings -> application -> manage application application -> all -> to find launcher pro Laucher Pro -> Press 'Clear Defaults' button.

Go home choose & make 'Home' that is AcerUI as your default launcher and you'll never see launcher pro again. Also for myself, I like launcher pro, but I getting use to AcerUI now.

app history? what for?

Now I get what your asking. Having 2 launchers on top of another eliminates launcher pro's history, we can't have it both ways. only in going back to acerUI, without launcher pro, you get to see app history.

I just found out, because of the launcher modification: Settings -> application -> User Interface change to Android UI will force close on you. that's probably I deleted launcher2

Very odd I do have only 75% used, the plan was to get rid off unwanted apps in the system and just added three ones. This rom eliminated 15% of the original load of 90%. You must have unintentionally added something in the system.

cm'on its more difficult to flash the leak froyo bin, and if you have not done that, this rom isn't for you. And then again flashing latest Malez recovery is even easier. Its on the top of this forum. In short you need malez to flash any rom. Almost all rom would affect 'system' somehow, including this one. The truth is only Malez on recovery will not affect system at all. It is a recovery safety net with all the nandroid backups that you should be familiar with before doing anything else.

Again you can't flash my rom unless you have the latest Acer_LiquidE_4.002.02_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.04 bin flashed.

You got to live with social buzz now. :)

First boot reinstalls dalvik-cache on the sd that's why it took time. Actually at least 1 dalvik-cache still remains in the internal memory.

Thank you guys for using my very lite rom. Catch you all later.

My updated version. check it out

Thank you a lot! I think I´ll try your version instead of the default one :)

I´m a bit confused though:

- is the dalvik cache still on the phone as on the Acer leak?

- can I still install Malez Recover as I used to?

- does it work on the A1 (non-E) Liquid?

My updated version. check it out

Everything is fine, really faster than previous version.

thank you very much.

Only a little problem.

1. Launcher2.apk had been removed from /system, when I change to Android UI, show FC. I just put it back, no problem.

2. AccountAndSyncSettings.apk had been removed.

3. wifi is obtaining IP

- yes

- yes, I am using on A1
