Replacement San Francisco arrived, the screen is now perfect. However I now have a squeaky volume rocker and the backplate does not seem to be held very tightly in some places, some flex is evident at the bottom of the phone.

I want a replacement but I have already phoned orange once and had one couriered, this phone is becoming a royal pain in the behind.

Anyone else with these problems shed some light on potential fixes?
:)

Ha -  yes I have a squeaky volume rocky also - also when the Home/Menu/back buttons are backlit the bottom of the writting/symbol is missing (1/2 mm). Both issues very minor and not sure I'd get the phone swapped - especially as I have paid the few quid for the sim unlock.

Suspect the volume rocker is the fake chrome plastic rubbing against the fixed fake chrome plastic. Can't think of any sensible fixes I would risk I'm afraid.

I also have a squeaky volume rocker but it got less squeky when I forced it up by half a mm so it no longer touched the "chrome" below.
I'm also thinking of returning mine due to problems with call quality, I hear a constant buzz when making calls. I'm afraid it could be a hassle returning it though since I live in sweden, or maybe just expensive.

Does this buzz also happen if you play audio from an MP3? Is it a hissing that stops a few seconds after the audio stops?

Thanks - yes gently pushing my finger nail in-between the bottom of the rocker (-) and the fixed fake chrome fixes the issues temporarily - I can live with it.

When it's next dark and the you use the buttons at the bottom of the SF - the buttons are backlit - you will be able to see the word MENU lit up - on mine the cover in-between the led and the transparent button strip is not accurately lined up (the cover stops light bleeding) - so it looks like the bottom of the letters is missing (so the letter E in MENU looks like an F). Is that clearer? It's just a minor quality control issue.
