I was wondering if there is a tool like sbsettings (from iphone) for android.

Sbsetttings was my favorite tool/tweak for the iphone. It basically adds a feature in the taskbar where when you swipe left to right on the taskbar it opens up a window right on any application/screen you are on to toggle settings like brightness, sensor orientation, 3g on or off switch, airplane mode, uafaker etc etc. This allows making changes to settings without the need to exit the app to go to setting. I would like to have this tool again for this awesome streak running froyo lol.

Any alternative for the android?

try "quick settings" - its almost the same thing. i think eventually we'll be getting mods where the same settings will be in the notification bar...

Another method is using power settings widgets on a page of your homescreen to emulate the buttons your would typically use on SBSettings.
