Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is...

TweetDeck

What they say

Quote

TweetDeck is your mobile browser for staying in touch with what's happening on Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare and Buzz. TweetDeck makes it easy to stay up to date and organized no matter where you are.

TIP: Touch the column header to jump to the top!

More info: http://bit.ly/deFnGO

Recent changes:
Landscape mode for all update detail views
Added support for Twitpic
Manual bit.ly shortening
Allow for dismissing Places notification
Fix faving tweets on 3g in France
Allow old style RTs for protected users
Support FB Single Sign On
Allow users to delete sent DMs
Likes and comments on FB photos should stay in app

What we say

I know, I know, I waxed lyrical in a previous post about how great Seesmic was, but what can I say, i've been converted! The combination of Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare in one app with a lovely slick UI has made me switch (I still don't like TweetDeck on the desktop tho :))

My personal choice is Seesmic, closely followed by Touiteur (now Plume).  I have a few twitter accounts and these two are great for keeping everything separate or together, as required.

Tweetdeck is the bees knees for me. I have 2 Twitter accounts, 1 Facebook and 1 Buzz (yes I know).

You can customise columns for notifications and updates interval. It's easy to add trends and the tweet bar widget fits perfectly on the streak.

If you like tweetcaster, try Tweetdeck it will blow you away.

Cheers,

Anthony.

I keep switching between TweetDeck and Plume (name voted by users? I got no chance to vote!) but the ability to set separate update times keeps me going back to TweetDeck. For stock Android it also beats the (joke of an) official Facebook app for keeping track of updates. I'm hoping that once tablets become more widespread they'll release a tablet version with more of the features of the desktop version.
