I have been following this forum with great interest, 3 weeks ago and after alot of reading and toiling finally did it. Updated to 2.1

Using the kzd updater and the roms on the tutorials that people posted.

No problems at all (apart from the struggle to use windows enabler in the right sequence to get the boxes to not be grey).

Initially loved it , although live wallpapers bit the dust as the battery lost charge at alarming rates (aquarium)

Even put up with all the russian apps (ha i hear you say)

I discovered today that there is a rom with no russian apps. (many thanks rottenfoxbreath)

So trawled all the posts again , collected all the info and flashed again.

now, its perfect.

and can confirm the english kzd updater works flawlessly without the need for windows enabler, and the os has no russian apps , seems alot smoother and much to my surprise kept all info, all apps ,all games ,all wallpaper, wireless settings,apn settings ETC.ETC.

Initial testing seems to have solved the text and calls problem with data on aswell, also the angry birds now works.
