Battery life

Curious if the battery life is as poor for other as it is for me?

Initially I thought it was due to virtually no signal with O2 but now I am on Vodafone during a normal day with very little use, no games and about five minutes of video the battery towards the end of my working day is being shown as about 1/4 left.

I know the battery meter is not an exact science with the one that is part of the OS but compaired to my Omnia2 which lasted for days, I'm not too happy.

Anyone else find the same?

I had issues with the batter meter, rather than the battery itself. I charged the phone overnight, and by the time I got into wokrk (90mins after unplugging) the battery was showing as 50% full. I turned the phone off and on again, and the battery was back up around 90% (I was listening to music and reading email on the 90min journey).

Other than that the battery seems to be ok.... but I do need to charge nightly (I do use it heavily during the day).

I've got to admit, the battery does seem to be doing odd things. Fully charged yesterday from the wall, unplugged and went to my G/F's house, no calls made, bit of a browse on the HTC hub and look to see if there's any games I might like... thats it. Wireless off, bluetooth off, location off

Next morning, battery nearly dead.

huh?

(Last phone was a HD2 and I expected the HD7 to be a bit better than that)

ok, it's better now and pretty obvious how to make it better.

Obviously turn off Bluetooth, Wireless, location. Then click on 'Mobile Network'.

Make sure your data connection is off (as it often likes to be on DAMMIT)

Thats about it. Battery is lasting a lot longer now
