This ROM is heavily updated and still being developed at a fairly rapid pace.

The update process is now very simple to do but it does require that you flash a new baseband

IF YOU ARE USING A REBELSIM AND DONT NEED WIFI TETHERING PLEASE STICK WITH V1.1.1 AS FLASHING THIS ROM WITHOUT BASEBAND WOULD CAUSE FLASHING LEDS SYNDROME - AND REBEL SIM CANT WORK WITH NEW BASEBAND AS YET

We now have a nice new website blog for streakdroid - check it out and help me populate the wiki with faqs and get in the forums :) sites @ http://www.streakdroid.com

Most Recent Version: v1.4.2

Known Issues:

Accelerometer is dodgy at times but i cant pin down the issue - usually going into settings > display and toggling auto rotate on and off fixes

You need to be on v1.1.1/1.2 or 1.3(download: http://build2.streakdroid.com/update-release-1.1.1.zip) with 2.1 baseband For this to work ideally - this may work from older versions but this procedure has only been tested from 1.1.1 THIS INVOLVES A WIPE OF ALL DATA ON DEVICE SO PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP FIRST 0. Copy the update zip to your memory card first 1. Reboot streak to recovery: do this by turning off your streak then holding down Vol up + Vol Down as you press power, keep volume keys held until you get to a menu with 4 options 2. Select the Option number 1 which is called FACTORY RESET using the volume keys to move the selection and camera to select your streak will reboot on its own after this. 3. Allow streak to boot to ui - this will take some time 4. Power down your streak and boot into fastboot do this by pressing power until the keypad lights come on then HOLD camera until you get to a white screen, then tap on the fastboot text in top right corner, 5. Connect your streak to pc - the text on streak should change to FASTBOOT_MODE. you should place the amss.mbn file into the same folder as fastboot on your pc run the following commands from command prompt on your pc Windows:
fastboot -i 0x413c flash amss amss.mbn
Linux
fastboot flash amss amss.mbn
6. Type the following commands to reboot your streak - again alow it to boot into the main ui - you will lose network connection for the moment, this is fine, also streak WILL reboot twice before booting, again this is normal Windows:
fastboot -i 0x413c reboot
Linux
fastboot reboot

7. Once your device has booted shut down again and boot into clockwork recovery by doing the following

boot to recovery as per step 1 then choose option 2.

8. Flash the 1.4 update zip

9. reboot

This can be rooted using universal androot but could take 2 attempts

Thanks Steve for starting a new thread, working through the issues, and putting up with everyone! I got a few little glitches here and there with some app loading, but a few power off and ons fixed that. Just finished re-creating all of my screens and verifying logins and functionality.

Thanks for the how-to update Steve. Just tried it and everything worked perfectly. Apps can install without errors or FC's and the market is working. Thanks for the update!

Just a general question, but since wiping info with 1.2.0 seems to be an issue will this be a problem for the next version update?

Or will it be more of a downgrade baseband and to 1.1.1 first then to the new upgrade. Maybe I'm thinking too far. :)

Steve did you mean to make it so the notification/Status bar can be swiped down from any part of the screen?

Also, I'm just getting bars no for my signal. No more H and the sms is taking forever to send.

Followed the instructions and everything worked great! The only issue I've noticed is a few odd apps not showing in the market, but most of my apps reinstalled without issues.

Thanks again for the great work!

You did a really good job.

Laura got a donation from me.^^

Maybe you can make version without all the extra stuff like the Dell UI and ADW/LauncherPro so that it will be a slim and fast OS.

Such version i would prefer over the original Dell 2.2.

Can anyone direct me on how to put in the command prompts to be able to flash the baseband? I am lost when I get to that. I got to start> run> cmd then input the info but get does not recognize. I might be doing this wrong tho.

This might help but just make sure you follow Steves instructions to the letter

Easy Guide to installing a New Baseband using Windows

Go to the C: drive and make a new Folder called Fastboot

go to the folder where you have the Clockwork files and copy (or Drag and drop)

all the files into the new Fastboot Directory then copy the Amss.mbn that you have download into this Directory:

Put your Streak in Fastboot

Press the Start button on you computer and in the Search programs and files box type "cmd"

at the top of the window press on the cmd icon and it should open a Black cmd window

with a flashing prompt type CD\fastboot and then :-

Fastboot-windows -i 0x413c flash amss amss.mbn (press return)

when that is finished type in the command box

fastboot-windows -i 0x413c reboot

Guest User Error

been running this all day, it's pretty sweet. does seem quicker than the previous builds, using the stage ui at the moment but probably not for long, it really irks me that you cannot change what is shown on the home widget. if you could set it to show your favorite 9 apps instead of recent that would rock. any chance of a hack to enable that?

also, now that you have a proper kernel mr. hyde, would it be safe to assume we will see a cyanogen mod rom and overclock module soon? :)
