I have just complied this Step-by-Step guide on how to root your Desire HD.

I by no means created the root, I simply used my own and others knowledge to put this guide together to help everyone.

Step By Step Guide

See the main thread for details on the root:

LOL a a big warning, he nor anyone else would take responsibility for your device if YOU brick YOUR device!

on the other hand i would say it works perfectly and i have no problems with it and have s-off

is this the first android device after the dream to have s-off at such an early stage? lol (3 weeks since ive had my device but its still fairly new)

Is it reversible i.e. by flashing a stock WWE via SD-Card in case the device needs to go to warranty?

Yes it is. Tried it yesterday. First attempt was a bit of a fail. Then reflashed device and all was fine again.

Great work, I hope you compile it into a zip file or something more "lame user" friendly, worked fine for me.
