Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is...

Smart Keyboard PRO

What they say

Quote

Multitouch, T9, AutoText, skins, many languages and options.

Don't forget to read the FAQ on the web site if you have problems, most answers are there!

3.10.0
- Key height customization
- Fixed capitalization issues with hard keyboard
- Fixed some suggestions with T9 length priority
What we say

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of software keyboards (hardware keyboards rule!), so I spend a lot of time trying out new soft keyboards trying to find one that works well for me. I find Smart Keyboard PRO very good, one of the best in fact... the autocorrection in particular seems excellent.

Very very nice keyboard.
I use it everyday, and I'm using it right now.
It does support Asian languages and keyboards, skins, extremely configurable, etc...
don't forget to download the dictionaries!
You can also activate gestures and a key to change between languages.
Seriously take a look at the configs and how you can personalize it
It really should be a default Android keyboard.

IMHO of course.
See ya.

From my Nexus One.

Im a big fan of SwiftKey. Not only is its auto correction is really good, builds up a user dictionary as it goes along, but it predicts the next word in your sentence, again based on previous sentences.

Have you long pressed on the text entry field and selected smart keyboard? I seem to remember as well that smart keyboard when you first use it defaults to looking pretty much like standard keyboard, if you go into the smart keybaord settings you can set your options, like to have t9 in portrate mode and others.
