Kies 2.2 update

Hi,

Is the official 2.2 UK update considered "safe" and relatively problem-free, (i.e. won't impact possibility of installing custom ROMs / rooting subsequently)

Also, I'm wondering how easy it is to return from rooted / custom ROMs to stock condition.

I haven't actually got one of these phones yet, but I'm sorely tempted to pick up a second hand one...
