If (like me) you got flashed the Legend Froyo OTA and now you can't downgrade, you can do the following..

- Follow this guide to the end (the last stage will appear to have failed)
- Temproot with VISIONary r13 (install the downloaded file as per a normal APK)
- Once you are temprooted, connect via 'adb' and do 'su' (to get root) then '/data/local/flash_image misc /data/local/misc1-2.img'

You should then be able to downgrade in the normal way.

You try this at your own risk... I successfully did this on my device, but of course YMMV.

I'm totally depressed since yesterday with this dirty ROM.
Does the crackin.bat works for you ?

Edit:

Crackin.bat display a lot of error but the downgrade works. You canno't know how I'm happy ....

- try downgrade

- and at last with the phone on, install the 1.31 RUU versión?

Thanks to Paul with this tutorial i´ve solved the HBOOT problem that unable install Froyo rooted for me.
This is a HOW TO that i´ve made for help all people who has this problem.

even I did not got this step....

I know this is too much...but Paul can you please make a sticky for NOOBS with all detailed instructions on downgrading Froyo for Legend?

If Paul is busy..request some other good Samaritan to do the Job...God Bless Modaco & Paul...

no point to downgrade, it is not rooting. its like you try run new ubunu linux on old kernel or old bios what not support new features

My Legend Hast Updated to Asia 2.2 and come with HBOOT 1.001...I has successful  downgrade using 1.31 RUU..

Surprising is when i downgrade to 1.31 there HBOOT still remain at 1.001

Now i become 1.001 with ROOT

Can this guide be somehow used to downgrade HBOOT version? For example from 1.01 to 0.43?

but this cmd line stuff is way beyond me sorry :-(

can anyone give me idiot proof guide to this cmd line prompt stuff, press by press copy and paste style? PLEASE!!

i don't understand!

I have rooted 2 legends that were hboot .43 but that was just clicking bat files etc

So i can connect to pc fine, adb works but this in your path stuff... maybe i'm too old! (at 36!)
