Guest cooperzetec
just a quick question. how fast (safely) can the gt540 be overclocked to? and what are the results? thinking off doing it but just want a bit of reassurance really. Guest cooperzetec
thanks but it doesn't actually say what people have experienced in the way of gains and stability?
Guest Norby55
well, as far as I've read, the phone works stable at about 800MHz. Still, there ain't any easier way to overclock, just by installing a new Kernel. I would be interested in enlarging the RAM allocation for the phone. I saw this possible on a HTC with cyanogenmod ROM on it, it had 10MB more RAM. Maybe, if some research is being spent on this, we could get some results. Guest ASY9650
thanks but it doesn't actually say what people have experienced in the way of gains and stability? I asked this too on countless occasions, I'm going to give it a shot soon, so if someone doesn't respond regarding this, I'll post back on stability and battery life, as in what differences I notice at what speeds. Guest Norby55
I tried SetCPU today, and, the limit of the stock kernel is at 600MHz. Normally it runs @ 528MHz. Need to upgrade kernel.

I can confirm that I'm stable to around 800mhz. Anything above that and the phone reboots regularly.
Guest cooperzetec
i am now stable at around 800mhz and running great. strange things also happened on mine over that. things kept closing and phone kept switching off. also installed the jit mod as well which seems to have helped.
