help on ADB

I were using 2.1 and now able to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 via Steve's instruction

I was hoping I can get ADB work after upgrading to 2.2,

but then just like 2.1

when I " adb devices"

>listed devices

adv shell

>error: devices not found

Would anyone give me some hint on getting adb to work on a Mac?
