I previously rooted my hero when i had android 1.5 but since 2.1 haven't touched it at all. Now im getting annoyed with it and would like to try a few roms.

Ive been looking at

It looks like its 2.2 and pretty easy to get working.

First of all has anyone used this and is it good ? Also i need to figure out how to root again and get the custom recovery image again.

Any Pointers or other recommended roms, I assume nothing 2.2 for hero with sense is available ?
