There may be a short wait while the load balancing software determines the best kitchen to serve your ROM. The kitchen should appear below within 20 seconds.

Android newbie here

Does one have to 'root' the device first before installing this ROM? (I saw a previous thread of yours showing VISIONary installation)

Many thanks Paul for your hard work - definitely worth a subscription!

The device is already rooted apparently.

Just follow the instructions. No need to pre root.

Hmmm, thats what I thought, but when I point at the driver folder Windows says it cannot find a driver for the device. Am using Windows 7 64 bit if that makes any difference.

I've only tested on x86 i'm afraid... I thought it should work on x64 tho?

Have managed to try and override the installation of the driver but on Windows 64 bit it definitely doesn't work - it says it needs a 64 bit compatible driver!

Hmm. It worked with Win7 x64 pro for me (Alienware m11x with SU7300 processor).

Once I'd put the vega in debug mode to bring Android Developer Bride up in device manager (i.e. step 1 of the installation instructions), the driver took without complaint (well, apart from the 'Unsigned' report).

Anyway, loving this a lot. Can't thank you enough Paul B)

Hi Paul,

I've had my Vega now for 30 mins :-) I've updated it and now want all the rest of the goodies. As a previous Folio owner i can confirm this looks much better so far...

I've downloaded, unpacked and started to install....

I've got 2 process adb-windows.exe running and this in my command prompt:

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *

* daemon started successfully *

I have a small beatle? symbol on my Vega but nothing else happens.... How long should i wait for the reboot?

I've tried to manually run "adb-windows.exe wait-for-device"

but this is just hanging so i'm guessing its a driver problem for adb-windows.exe. I dont see it in device manager listed under anything.

Any ideas where the device driver is added?

Thanks

Jason

No.

If it only sees a new mass storage device, that sounds like you haven't enabled USB debugging.

P

If that was the case then surely i wouldnt see the debugging symbol on the status bar of the Vega?
