Hi, I have a BenQ E72 unlocked mobile and been trying to get wifi to work - to no avail.

Can use dial up web - costs a fortune as I'm PAYG.  So wifi direct was intention for quick hotspot checks.

Carried out usual button press - the green bars show good connection, passwords enabled - just won't connect.

Tried different cards - T mobile, Orange, O2 just incase some blocking going on. - phone works good on all - just no wifi.

Not wifi server as friends mobile comes on right away.

Anyway the wifi should work without a sim card ?

spent some time following threads and trying varing options to no avail - it'll be one of the simple ones?

anyone with similar problems  and an easy solution? (or even a hard solution!)
