ok i dont know if im being dumb, but i changed the user agent in stock browser to work as a desktop, but after installing r3 the option seems to have disappeared and everything is loading in mobile view.

anyone got any suggestions on how to change?

Not sure how to fix that but I can't recommended Dolphin browser hd enough. It is excellent on the Vega.
